Born and raised in the Atlanta metro area, S. Combs was heavily influenced by many Romantic literary masters of tragedy including Edith Wharton, Elizabeth George Speare, and Ernest Hemingway. As a preteen, examining the lyrics of new wave musical artists such as Prince and analyzing the mythical story lines of science fiction sagas in literature as well as cinema, his innate desire to create evolved into a never ending need to explore beyond the limits of the human imagination.
