Carol Collett-White (nee Wickens) was born, raised and trained as a nurse in England. She moved to Canada, where in her third year there she met and married Derek, an Anglican Priest. Together they moved to Jamaica where they became citizens. After nineteen years, they moved to Roanoke, Virginia, in the United States of America. She counts it a great privilege to have had homes in four countries, with citizenship in three, when there are millions of refugees in the world who do not have one country to call home.
