Cole, Marilyn

Marilyn Cole was born on a farm in Kentucky. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Western Kentucky University in Elementary Education. She was the local school marm in my small town when she met her husband, who was stationed at Fort Knox during the Vietnam War. After his tour of duty they moved to Pennsylvania for his job. They moved a total of 14 times and Marilyn found teaching jobs in most of the locations. She started teaching 4th grade but moved up to middle school, which was her favorite.
