Rebekah Colburn calls Maryland's Eastern Shore her home, but has always been drawn to the romance of the Western Plains. Her earliest memories include stories about wagon trains, cattle drives, and the pioneer lifestyle. Her idea for the series, "Of Wind and Sky" was conceived on a visit to Wyoming and a cold, sleepless night camping at Yellowstone National Park. Her love for writing began as a child, and she completed her first full length novel at the age of fifteen.
