Octavus Roy Cohen (1891-1959) was an American author. Between 1910 and 1912 he worked in the editorial departments of a number of newspapers until, in 1913, after being admitted to the South Carolina, bar he practiced law in Charleston for two years. From 1917 to the time of his died, he published 56 books, which included humorous and detective novels, plays, and collections of short stories. He also wrote successful Broadway plays and radio, film, and television scripts.
