Dorothy Roberts Cline has loved stories and songs from early childhood. She grew up in Oregon, and has lived and taught in Alaska for more than 45 years. She lived in rural Alaskan villages before moving to Homer where she taught music at Paul Banks Elementary School for 19 years. There she discovered a great resource in Paul Banks, a remarkable man who was the school custodian, but also wrote plays and songs, and created sets for school programs.
