Rancher, retired country lawyer, and award-winning author Bill Neal is a native of Medicine Mound, Texas where his ancestors were ranchers and early settlers of the community. Bill initially wrote two books on that area's local history: "The Last Frontier: The Story of Hardeman County" (1966) and "Our Stories: Legend of the Mounds" (1997).
