Marvin Clapp has had two careers in his life. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy at age twenty-six and retired twenty years later. During the time that he was enlisted, he taught Bible studies on board every ship and at every base that he was assigned to. He and his wife Barbara have often said that they were "government paid missionaries" to the other sailors. Marvin also has taught math and science for twenty years.
