Cisneros, Evelyn

Evelyn Cisneros (San Francisco, CA), legendary Prima Ballerina, danced for San Francisco Ballet for 23 years, creating innumerable roles, and is now Ballet Education Coordinator. She is the subject of the book Evelyn Cisneros: Prima Ballerina by Charnan Simon: the subject of the PBS special "Evelyn"Cisneros: Moving On"; the former host of the PBS program "Bay Windows"; and the dance advice columnist "Ask Evelyn" in Dance Magazine. She was honored as Most Gifted Woman in San Francisco, and is winner of the Isadora Duncan Award. She has honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts degrees from Mills College
