I retired from the Marine Corps in 1987 after 21 years of meeting interesting people and seeing exotic places. The Marines taught me to never give up, always look for the humor in situations, and to live your life so you can hold your head up in pride. I hope to communicate those traits in my writing. I learned to enjoy achievement and to take pride in achievement. Writing is almost as much fun as fishing and can provide the same sense of accomplishment, and more if the fish don't bite.
