Carrie Chesney spent her childhood in Kingsville, Ontario, moving to Toronto as a teen. She earned her degree in genealogical research from Brigham Young University and spent 25 years as a professional researcher. She also served as the Director of a family history center in Guelph, Ontario. In this line of work she has published 4 volumes of Ontario Marriage Registrations.
