Chavez, Cesar

Cesar Chavez (1927a1993) is a civil rights and labor leader, a farm worker, a crusader for nonviolent social change, an environmentalist, and a consumer advocate. In 1994 he was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Americaas highest civilian honor.
