Castro Varela, Dolores

Dolores Castro Varela (Aguascalientes, 1923) is a poet, narrator, essayist and literary critic. She studied Law and Literature at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. Later she did her graduate studies at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She was part of the group Ocho Poetas Mexicanos, which comprised Alejandro Aviles, Roberto Cabral del Hoyo, Javier Penalosa, Ignacio Margaloni, Efren Hernandez, Octavio Novaro and Rosario Castellanos.
