Durante degli Alighieri (c.1265-1321), was a major Italian poet of the late Middle Ages. Paul Gustave Louis Christophe Dore (6 January 1832 - 23 January 1883) was a French artist, printmaker, illustrator and sculptor. Rev. Henry Francis Cary (6 December 1772 - 14 August 1844) was a British author and translator, best known for his blank verse translation of The Divine Comedy of Dante.
