Andrea Carter was born in Quesnel, a small town in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. As a child, she broke into a neighbour's house just to feel the keys of their typewriter and maybe that should have been a clue. But she's a slow-starter. Decades later - after four children, writing for the sake of it, a few published articles in magazines, many more years working as a graphic designer and illustrator - she has finally completed this, her first novel.
