Robert Owen Carr is the founder and chief executive officer of Heartland Payment Systems, one of the largest debit and credit card transaction companies in America. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics in three years from the University of Illinois, and earned a master's degree in computer science also from the U of I the following year.
