Caplan, James A.

Writing as Carson A Pierce, Cap Caplan served in the U.S. Forest Service from 1979 to 2007. Head of communications for the agency from 1992 to 1996, he spent his last 10 years as a senior line officer in Alaska and Oregon dealing successfully with intense environmental conflicts.
