Ray John de Aragon is an award-winning writer. He worked as a Reading teacher in the schools. He was also in charge of public school libraries. De Aragon later worked as a bilingual resource teacher. Then he became a bilingual program director. He was honored and featured by the New Mexico Association for Bilingual Education during its conference in 2002. The New Mexico Research and Study Council of the University of New Mexico presented Ray John de Aragon with its Quality Education Award in 2007.
