I was the Regional Reporter to the Children's Hearings until I retired in 2003. I have been writing books since 2003. I then became the writer in residence at Dumfries Prison. I am currently working on a novel about a double secret agent entitled The Solo Oboe. My deceased great-aunt, Frau Fleur Richter, led that remarkable life. I have inherited her oboe.
