Byambaa Bayarmagnai was born and raised in the Khovsgol Province of Mongolia. She graduated from the Teacher's University of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in 1980 with degree in Film and Drama. She is a writer with Idugan Entertainment, a company producing films, documentaries, TV shows and music videos to promote and preserve Mongolian culture and history domestically and internationally. She has authored several books and movie scripts, including the story for the movie "Pearl in the forest," which received the Spectrum Asia award during the 2008 "Third Eye Asian Film Festival" in Mumbai, India.
