JIM BURTON is a native of Kentucky and a graduate of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky. Following college, he worked for daily newspapers as a photojournalist before and while attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where he earned a Masters of Divinity degree. He then spent twenty-five years working for denominational mission agencies as an editor and program director.
