Sarah R. Burns was born and raised in Bridgeport, and graduated from Bridgeport's Bullard Havens Tech with a major in Home Economics. She spent over 35 years in corporate America as an Information Technology and Operations professional, and worked for GE, Black & Decker, City of Bridgeport, Drake Beam Morin, and IBM.
