William Patrick Burke was born in New Albany, Indiana along the Ohio River across from Louisville, Kentucky. Like the boy in the stories sitting on the rail ties he formed lasting memories of the people and that place he called home. Bill has published poems, short stories, numerous business articles, and written an Emmy winning television play. He and his wife Louise have two sons and a daughter as well as five grandchildren. Since he and Louise retired, they now live in Mid-Coast Maine where he spends free time trout fishing and sailing when not at work in the family tavern.
