Susan Bulanda is an author, lecturer, and canine and feline ethologist. She was head trainer and director of two Canine Search and Rescue units in Phoenixville and Coventry, PA and senior conformation judge for the United Kennel Club. She has taught and worked with rescue units throughout Europe. Her previous books include Boston Terriers (Barron's), Ready: The Training of the Search and Rescue Dog and Ready to Serve, Ready to Save (Doral). She has a grown son and lives with her husband, Larry, and dog named Riley in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.
