Alex Benchimol is Senior Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Glasgow, where his teaching and research interests include Romantic period studies, British cultural studies, periodical history and the Scottish Enlightenment. Recent publications include Intellectual Politics and Cultural Conflict in the Romantic Period: Scottish Whigs, English Radicals and the Making of the British Public Sphere (2010).
