David Brovont was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (International Option) from Ferris State University. He also has an Associate Degree in Small Business Management from Richland College in Dallas, Texas and a Second Associate Degree from Northwestern Michigan Colleges' Great Lakes Maritime Academy in Traverse City, Michigan.
