John David Lionel Brooke lives an independent, happy life surrounded with natural beauty, by the Sea of Cortez, in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Oh, no not another memoir about child abuse? He admits a smidgen of physical and sexual abuse, but that's not what The Mother Lode Trilogy is about. His subject is about growing up voiceless, and overcoming a family's abusive mental tyranny. In 2006 he became an aspiring writer and has poems, flash fiction stories, editorials and books published.
