Breines, Winifred

Winifred Breines is a Professor of Sociology and Women's Studies at Northeastern University. She is the author of Young, White, and Miserable: Growing Up Female in the Fifties and co-editor of Takin' It to the Streets: A Sixties Reader. She was an activist in the new left, anti-Vietnam War, and
early women's movements in Madison, Wisconsin, Ithaca, New York, and Boston.
