Billy Branson had an auto accident in 1950 that resulted in paralysis from the neck down due to a spinal cord injury. She had been married only 9 months, and was 18 years old. She went on to awaken her body and walk again. Billy was married to her first husband for 50 years before his death and is currently married for the second time.
