Alan Brooke is a Senior Lecturer in History at Peterborough College and David Brandon is an adult education lecturer and Historical Consultant to Hilton Hotels Special Events. They have a particular interest in the history of crime: their other publications include "Tyburn: London's Fatal Tree" and "Stand and Deliver!: A History of Highway Robbery."
