The Author, a medical doctor, in the 80s performed a research using algorhythmic tests to obtain left ventricular contraction curves with diagnostic capability in clinical practice. This work showed that contraction curves proposed in the most important scientific reviews in the 70s and 80s were based on an erroneous concept of ventricular contraction: pressure/volume curve.
