The author holds a National Diploma in Civil Engineering and in Journalism. He has worked various jobs ranging from cooking Irish breakfasts to gutting buildings for renovation. Emmet, a keen Gaelic footballer has contributed many GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) articles to the "Irish Star" newspaper.
