Jerry Boyd is in his 50th year of public safety service, primarily in law enforcement. Though he has served as Chief of a Fire/Rescue agency and a 9-1-1 Center Director his law enforcement experience is the most extensive. The author began his career as a Technical Reserve (Communications) with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department and after turning 21 became a Deputy Sheriff where he served in a variety of patrol and detective assignments.
