Simon Boxall was born in 1959. The Margin of Evil is his first novel in the Georgii Radetzky series, and in darker moments probably the last. He is currently, when he can be bothered, working on a second. Educated in the private and state sectors, he eventually, so the story goes, went on to take a BA in Philosophy and Politics at The University of Essex. Work has been somewhat sporadic; after a spell working in the music business, and a bad career move into the Civil Service our reluctant hero took a PGCE in History and Politics at The University of Greenwich and decided to become a teacher.
