Meg Bortin is an American journalist and writer based in France. A former senior editor at the International Herald Tribune, she has written widely on French and Soviet affairs. Her articles on politics, culture and lifestyle have appeared in many publications. In 1992 Bortin was the founding editor of The Moscow Times, the first independent English-language daily newspaper in Russia.
