Raised in Flint Michigan, Emery Borka joined the USAF from 1955 to 1965 as a Cryptographic repairman. He participated in Operation Dominic, atomic testing on the Pacific atoll of Johnson Island after which he returned to Washington. Married a French citizen, he was sent to France and accepted his honorable discharged in France.
