Booth, George

GEORGE BOOTH was born and raised in Missouri. His parents were both teachers, and he has two brothers. He started cartooning while working at "The Leatherneck" as a staff cartoonist. He attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C., the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and Adelphi College on Long Island. George has also received an honorary doctorate of fine arts from Stony Brook State University of New York, and is an honorary member of Colgate University s class of 1939.
