Chris Boelter grew up in a small town in Wisconsin of Armenian ethnic background and married her husband, Bob, who then attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. After his graduation, he began a ministry to young people from the projects while Chris taught a women's Bible study in Cabrini Green. After thirteen years, they moved to Pennsylvania, where Bob was again active in youth work with endangered teens on the streets.
