William M. Bobo was a Citizen of South Carolina who never attempted to conceal his contempt for those of the "Yankee race," whom he denounced at every opportunity for their long history of treachery, intolerance, and religious fanaticism. Under the pseudonym "A South Carolinian," Bobo also authored other works, including Letters By a South Carolinian (1827) and Glimpses of New York City (1852).
