Mark E. Blum is Professor of History at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He earned his Ph.D. in Austrian history at the University of Pennsylvania. Blum was Fulbright Fellow at the University of Vienna and Visiting Fellow at Carl Rogers' Center for Studies of the Person in La Jolla, California. He is the author of The Austro-Marxists 1890-1918, A Psychobiographical Study (1985) and has published widely in journals. His interest in phenomenological historiography and stylistics stems from his studies of Austrian and German culture.
