Gordon Blaine is a proud descendant of the Amish. He lives off the grid in the mountains of Montana in a cabin he built with his wife and children. As a former member of the United States military and later as a military contractor, he traveled the United States and the world, but his greatest influences are his father, who instilled in him an appreciation of generosity and integrity, and his mother, who gave him his sense of humor and a love of literature.
