Berns, Walter

Walter Berns (1919-2015) wasa distinguishedscholar and professor and a lifelong champion of classical liberalism, American democracy, and academic freedom. At his death he was the John M. Olin University Professor Emeritus at Georgetown University and a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. His books include, "In Defense of Liberal Democracy", "The First Amendment and the Future of American Democracy", and "Taking the Constitution Seriously".
