Originally from Illinois, Harry Leneau began working at Sportsmen's Stables in 1945. On Monday through Friday he went to school, and from Friday night through Sunday he put in stable work. After high school he had two years of junior college, two years in the army, and then trained horses for two years. After that it was back to college to become a registered medical technologist, a stint at Lutheran General Hospital in Parkridge, Illinois.
