Martha Benedict, MA, LAc, OMD, has been studying and using herbs more than forty years. She has a Master's Degree from Stanford University School of Medicine, worked to legalize acupuncture in the state of California, received one of the first licenses granted in California, and founded one of the first oriental medical colleges, the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in San Francisco, and was one of its first teachers.
