Beirne, Piers

Piers Beirne is professor of criminology at the University of Southern Maine. He is the author of several books including Marxism and Law (with Richard Quinney, 1982), Criminology (with James Messerschmidt, 1991), Comparative Criminology (1991), and Inventing Criminology (1993). He serves as the editor of the journal Theoretical Criminology.
