Beebe, Lucius

Lucius Beebe (1902-1966) was a celebrated newspaper columnist writing about high society whom Life Magazine described on its cover as "Mr. New York." A self-styled snob, gossip, dandy, and hedonist, Beebe remarked that, "All I want is the best of everything."
