Joseph W. Bean, the Executive Director of the Leather Archives & Museum in Chicago, has been active in leather circles since the early'70s. He is the author of several books, notably the landmark "Leathersex"; his work and thoughts can also be found in hundreds of books and magazines created by and for leatherfolk. Mr. Bean was born in Humansville, Missouri, in 1947. He lives alone in Chicago, collecting laundry and household chores for the slave he will one day have.
