Meira bat Erachaim was born and raised in South Africa, went to university in the United States, and lived and worked in China before settling in Israel. She has worked as a helicopter pilot, documentary filmmaker, English teacher, and is currently a casualty extraction and medical evacuation combat support officer with the Israeli Air Force.
