Bashir, Halima

Halima Bashirgrew up in Sudan, where she worked as a doctor until she was forced to flee her homeland in 2005. She currently lives in London with her husband and young son. Her asylum claim has not yet been accepted. She writes under a pseudonym to protect her remaining family in Sudan from further reprisals.
