Oregon native Tom Barr has traveled extensively throughout the state on assignments for Reader's Digest Books, Fodor's Travel Guides, "Northwest Mileposts, "and "The Rotarian "magazine. He is also the author of "Unique Arizona," "Unique Georgia," and "Unique Washington: A Guide to the State's Quirks, Charisma, and Character "and has written the text for two photo books," Portrait of Oregon" and "Portrait of Washington." He lives in Marysville, Washington.
